Hello all! I have Scofflaw Varnish’s polish pickup shade to share today! This beauty is based on Earth Day. As a scientist in training, I love this theme! If you’re new to polish pickup, the next paragraph is for you. Otherwise, skip over to the goods!
The Polish Pickup is a Facebook group that features many, many makers each month and the themes are voted on by members! It’s a massive collaboration similar to box collabs, except you get to pick the exact polishes you want! No commitment, yay! I’ll have links and dates at the end of the post if you are not in the group.
The name of this beauty is derived from Carl Sagan’s quote and inspired by Earth day:
“Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.”
Pale Blue Dot’s official description is described as a black-blue jelly packed with holo glitters of green, silver, and turquoise, with shifting blue-green multichrome flecks and blue shimmer.
Swatches show three very thin coats. It’s safe to say you could get away with two if your nails aren’t obnoxious like mine. This polish is so sparkly and gorgeous. The theme fits in SO well. You’ll see very obvious blue shimmer amidst a sea of black and blue and silver sparkles galore! The multichrome flecks sparkle through green, blue and oranges and are larger than the shimmers and glitters so it perfectly captures a space appearance. Very pretty. Everything lays down nice and flat, and one coat of topcoat will even everything out. Here, I chose Seche quick dry. Highly recommend adding Pale Blue Dot to your shopping list!
Pale Blue Dot will be $12 and available the weekend of December 1-4th on the Polish Pickup site HERE.

Happy shopping! Thanks so much for reading! ❤
