I have the July releases from Emily de Molly to share today! This set is another incredible collection that really sets the bar for thermals and magnetics in my opinion. Quite a few of these are very unique to my collection, I’ve never seen anything close. Let’s get on with the swatches!
Dormant Fractures. Official description: a dark purple holo with a copper magnetic effect.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This polish is intense to say the least. Formula is on the medium/heavy side and applies very opaque. It felt buttery on the brush strokes and very easy to manage and stayed where I put it. The cool thing about this shade is that even if you don’t use a magnet for a design, wearing it on its own is stunning as well. It’ll be a very deep purple, almost burgundy with very strong copper shimmer. I feel like I’ve discovered an alien, never seen anything like this! If you use a magnet, it’s so lovely. The copper cats eye is very strong against the base. So. So. Good.
Evening Mist. Official description: a pale taupe grey with strong turquoise blue shimmer.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula has a medium feel and applies easily. The shimmer in this one is so magical. It shifts to a rich magenta on extreme angles in the shade. The shimmer is very strong in person. This one does dry down sort of matte so use a glossy top coat to make the shimmer pop.
Made of Emotion. Official description: a red based purple with blue to purple shifting shimmer.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is nice and dense feeling like all the others. This polish. So pretty. The base comes off berry like to me. Red under-toned purples are some of my favorite colors on me. The shimmer is appearing shy to me looking at my swatches. In person it’s intense and shifts easily from purple to blue. Ya’ll need this. The holo is very strong and gives almost a linear look.
More or Less. Official description: a blue ( warm ) to olive green ( cold ) thermal with gold shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Another polish that was easy to apply and from the first brush stroke almost gives full opacity for me. This one will dry down matte so use a glossy topcoat. The shimmer is strong in this one too and nicely compliments both shades. The glitters that Hayley uses for her polishes are awesome. They’re so twinkley on your nails and create no texture. My nails are smooth to the touch after topcoat.
I thought this one came out really cool looking with the hot and cold states reversed on my nails.
Perfect Moments. Official description: a pale purple ( warm ) to dark purple ( cold ) thermal with copper shimmer.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This was another almost one coater in my opinion. Formula is smooth and dense. The shimmer appears red against the base and just stands out! This also dried down matte, so again I’d recommend a good glossy topcoat. This is so stunning. The cold state is being shy here, but it darkens to a rich blurple in the cold state. I’ll have a video to represent the shift better.
Rise Above the Flames. Official description: a dark copper that shifts to dark purple at extreme angles, with gold holographic micro glitters.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Another beauty that applied easily, and was perfectly smooth after topcoat. The shimmer in this one is insane to me. It mostly appears as an intense copper but on tilt it shifts to a dark purple. It’s not even subtle about it either! The base to me, is like a dark burgundy and all those shimmers and glitters just transform it completely.
The Grey Silence. Official description: a medium grey with copper shimmer, silver holographic micro glitters and iridescent flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. I expected to need a third when I eyeballed the bottle but once again I am proven wrong by Hayley’s amazing formulas. This was smooth applying and fully opaque at two. The shimmers are nice and strong in person, but my favorite part about this is the intense rainbow of flakes. They stand out against the base perfectly. Nails are smooth to the touch after topcoat.
Time Will Tell. Official description: a light blue crelly with copper shimmer and flakes and silver holographic micro glitters.
Crelly alert! Swatches show two easy coats with topcoat. I love Hayley’s crellies. They apply so buttery and there’s never any fighting to get them opaque. Time Will Tell is no exception. The base shade is a light blue leaning turquoise to me. My nails are super sparkley and those copper shimmers compliment the color so well. No texture on this one either.
*this is limited to one large batch
The new releases go live Tuesday, 7/10 at 10 am AEST on the Australian site and Monday, 7/9 at 8 pm EST on the international/US site.
I’m switching it up again and have a swatch video of the entire set. Highly recommend checking it out
(not just because its my channel) but you really want to see the thermals and magnetic in action!
These are so beautiful! Don’t let Time Will Tell get away either! Thanks so much for reading! ❤
