Hello Polish Geeks! Today I have an amazing trio that is releasing as a sort of mini release from our lovely Emily de Molly! We’ve got a little bit of holo, some shimmaaah, and a thermal to see today! Aaah, I love this time of year so much! I mean, I adore the holidays but there’s just something so nostalgic about Halloween. Each year I swear I’ll get my son’s costume earlier and earlier to avoid crowds but… seeing as it’s October I guess I didn’t do that again this year lol. You know what you won’t have to wait in long lines for? These beauties!! Let’s get started!
Ill Fated – A bright red ( warm ) to dark brown ( cold ) thermal with gold flakies.
$10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two buttery coats with glossy topcoat. This one has a medium feel and applies super opaque. It does dry down a little on the matte side so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to get those flakies to pop out. In person, they add a rich depth to the finished look in the cold state, but you can see them super warm appearing in the warm state. This one was insanely reactive for me. My swatches look a little less crisp (to me at least) because holy hell I had to use ninja skills to catch the shift. Our new place is pretty warm so I can safely say if you don’t have a free edge, you’ll still get lots of transition since this is so reactive.
The Greater Good – A turquoise shimmer base with copper flakes.
$9 USD / $11 AUD
Swatches show two coats with glossy topcoat. This one has a medium-light feel during application and I’ll say most will get full coverage at 2-3 coats. I stopped at two since I didn’t see my smile line. If wearing for longer than photos, I’d probably have gone to three to give that nice thick appearance that I prefer. The shimmer is crazy strong in this one, I think you’ll see it in any lighting outside of straight sunlight. I had no problems picking up the flakes, and they laid down nice and flat for me. No texture after topcoat.
Triple Trouble – A purple holo with iridescent flakes
$11 USD / $13 AUD
Swatches show two rich coats with glossy topcoat. This has a super rich formula, though very easy to apply. Triple Trouble is pretty much a one coater if you use a heavy hand. The iridescent flakes add a lovely pop in person, they picked up effortlessly on the brush and I had no texture with them either. The base color is SO purple, it has a blue undertone to it. On my monitor it’s looking accurate, but just in case it pulls differently on other screens, I’d describe it as an ultraviolet purple.
The trio will release Thursday, October 4th at 10am AEST (Australian site) and Wednesday, October 3rd at 8pm EDT (USA and international site). The formula is stellar per usual on all three, and they are such a lovely mix of finishes! Be sure to check out my swatch video to see them all in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
