Hello lovely readers! I apologize about this post being a bit behind my YouTube channel, I had some issues with my blog but it’s all fixed and now we’re back to schedule! I’m so excited for this collection, the True Love set is inspired by The Princess Bride (yaass) and the cream of the month is SO perfect- so much goodness going on with Night Owl this month! Let’s start with the True Love collection!
Death Cannot Stop True Love – a grey tinted base packed full of rose gold metallic flakes, charcoal sparkle flakes and copper shimmer. $9
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula applies very dense on the nail and builds up quickly. This is what I would describe as a true rose gold, at least this is what I think of when I hear the color. It’s a slightly pink leaning antique type gold and gives a lovely dense flakie effect without having to sponge. No texture after topcoat.
Prepare to Die – a deep indigo jelly base filled with red/gold/green crystal chameleon flakes & bright platinum flakes. $11
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula has a smooth buttery feel and the flakes give an overall rainbow effect across the nail. I’d describe the base color as indigo with a touch of a deep purple undertone. The flakies picked up easily for me on the brush and laid down flat. No texture after topcoat.
The Pit of Despair – a green/blue/purple silvery ethereal shifter with lots of holo micro flakies and scattered holo flecks. $11
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels medium and built up quickly. For opacity on this one, I’d say 2-3 coats depending on application type. This one appears mostly as a lovely light emerald and on angles I can easily see purple and blue. The flakies give a galaxy type of holo effect. No texture after topcoat.
Inconceivable – a vibrant green base with multichrome shimmer that shifts red/copper/gold and silver/pink/green crystal chameleon flakes.$12
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula felt buttery smooth on application. The base color to me is a rich olive green and the multichrome shimmer steals the show appearing mostly as a bright reddish copper and shifting to copper and gold on angles. The flakes shift between silvers, greens, and pinks and laid down flat for me. No texture after topcoat.
It Would Take a Miracle – a white crelly full of 4 different shades of color shifting ultrachrome chameleon flakes. $11
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. For opacity, I’m going to say between 2-3 coats. This is literal white crelly rainbow perfection. The base is a true white, though just very slightly grayed from the flakies. The flakes appear in so many colors and are an array of sizes so you see all sorts of pops here and there of color. No texture after topcoat.
As You Wish – a bright aqua crelly with gold shimmer and gold flakes. $10
Swatches show three light coats with topcoat. Formula feels buttery smooth on application and built up quickly to opacity. The base color is what I’d consider a true bright (though not neon) aqua. The shimmer gives a golden sparkle and the flakes take center stage giving an almost marbled look to the finish. No texture after topcoat. Please keep in mind that in person this one is a touch darker.
Creme of the Month:
Squeeze the Day – a bright lemon yellow creme. $7
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula has a rich buttery feel on application. I’d describe this one as a true sunshine, lemony yellow. There’s no orange or green undertone here just true yellow. I do not consider this a neon as there is no fluorescent quality to it, but it is so bright and happy. Just like other cremes from this brand, self leveling is phenomenal and forgiving. LOVE THIS ONE.
All of these beauties are currently available in the shop, with the creme of the month sticking around for at least three months. You can grab the True Love collection for the prices listed above or $58 for all full sized polishes. If you haven’t seen the swatch video yet, I highly recommend checking it out for all of those satisfying applications!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
