Hello lovely readers! Today I’ve got some fresh spring swatches to show you! These are the Candy Heart creams by the lovely Blush Lacquers. These pair up perfectly with the Double Rainbow shimmers (which I will have video and swatches uploaded shortly). Let’s get to some pics!
Angel: A pastel banana yellow creme.
Swatches show three coats. Formula feels on the medium side, though starts off a touch sheer but builds quickly. Depending on application style I’ll say between 2-3 coats for full opacity. This is a lovely pastel banana cream yellow that dries down glossy so any topcoat will be just fine.
As If: A pastel creamsicle-peach creme.
Swatches show three coats. Formula feels very similar to Angel, and builds quickly. I’d say between 2-3 coats for opacity as well as any topcoat as this dries down glossy as well.
Be Mine: A pastel bubblegum pink creme.
Swatches show three coats. Very similar feel to the previous two and again, 2-3 coats for full opacity. I’d say my swatches are appearing very close to what I’m seeing in person so pink fans, this is perfect for you!
Kiss Me: A pastel lilac creme.
Swatches show three coats. At the risk of repeating myself, this is also built to full opacity at 2-3 coats depending on preference. All of these creams have lovely self leveling and are very forgiving on application (especially with that lovely wide brush).
True Love: A pastel blue creme.
Swatches show two coats. Formula feels just a touch heavier than the previous shades, though I’ll still say between 2-3 coats for full opacity. This is such a lovely shade, and also dries down glossy.
You & Me: A pastel turquoise creme.
Swatches show two coats. This one also feels similar to True Love in the slightly heavier feel on application and still glides on buttery smooth. Any topcoat will work here as well, since it also dries down glossy.
And finally, I tested these pretties for watermarbeling and stamping! They spread beautifully on the water and dried slow here so it’s easy to take your time and make your design in the water. I applied the marble over a white base and they appear almost like a pastel bleached look. Very pretty!
I stamped over white and black to test for stamping ability, and they stamp very easily! I will say they are all super pale over black, they definitely show up though you’ll see just a touch of their respective colors. Over white, they take on their actual colors and give that bleached pastel look.
The Candy Hearts are currently available in the shop for $7 each, or $42 set. Stay tuned for part two of the Blush releases with the Double Rainbow shimmers set!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
