Hello lovely readers! Today I’ll be uploaded several posts as I daresay I am playing catch up from my epic computer crash earlier this month! Here we have Emily de Molly’s new releases for May and this is another epic set! Let’s get to some swatches!
City Of Light – A pale nude base with pink / copper / gold / green aurora shimmer. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is being a bit shy in my swatches, in person this is really strong in the shimmer. You’ll see a rainbow of colors against a neutral base. It’s very in your face! I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to really exploit that lush shimmer!
Doll House – A bright violet pink ( warm ) to an eggplant purple ( cold ) thermal with micro metallic rose gold flakes. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula has a lush buttery feel on application and dries down a touch on the matte side, so again I’d recommend a glossy topcoat. This one transition easily and is very sensitive to temperature change.
Dull Beings – A pale grey/beige base with iridescent flakes. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels like it flirts with being a jelly but builds up quickly on the nail. I’d say 2-3 coats for full opacity. This is probably the closest I’ve ever seen to an opal on my nails as it’s so packed full of flakes it gives a strong iridescent pond effect on the nail. No texture after topcoat.
Out Cold – A bright blue metallic flake. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is buttery smooth and builds very quickly to opacity. This is such a rich, vibrant blue that pops like crazy! It photographs like a linear holo, but just not it’s a very dense blue metallic flake that gives you that effect.
Speculation – A bright turquoise green metallic flake. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This applies identically to Out Cold to me, and is so very pretty too!! Lush, buttery feel on application and with a glossy topcoat you’ll get that intense metallic flake effect.
The Outsider – A light purple base with green / blue / purple aurora shimmer. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels on the medium/light side but builds up quickly. If you’ve been a fan of the recent shifty shimmers coming out, I’d recommend adding this to your list too. It’s very shifty and you’ll see a strong luminescent purple and blue on extreme angles.
Well Suited – A dark teal blue base with bronze to green multichrome shimmer. $9 USD / $11 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula applies like a rich cream and builds easily. I’ll say between 2-3 coats for full opacity. Fun fact, Midnight Serenade is my holy grail EdM shade, but this one is really flirting with my love affair with that one! The base is definitely a dark teal but flirts with being a navy blue as well. The shimmer is crazy strong and you’ll easily see the bronze the green shift in person.
Your Remedy – A bright red with silver metallic flakes. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This applies like a jelly but is very opaque and builds quickly. This is what I would describe as a tomatoe red but it does have a touch of a cool quality to it. The flakes gives a glowing sparkle effect that lay down as a pond effect. No texture after topcoat.
These will launch on 5/2 at 10am AEST and 5/1 at 8pm EDT. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these beauties on action!
