Hello again lovely readers! Today I have two posts for you, this first of which is the lovely Cirque Colors new Facets collection. This is a continuation of last years Facets, and let me say if you love sparkles these are all going to be for you! Let’s get to the swatches!
Peridot: a lime green jelly with sparkling holographic flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. As an August baby, I totally approve of this color ❤ Formula applies like a dense jelly and the sparkles from the flakes are all over! I’d like to note that for most of these in the collection, be a little mindful of your brush strokes as overworking on the nail might make some of the flakes roll. It wasn’t a big deal, as you can either poke them back flat or apply over it. These are not textured by any means, however I wanted to note that it happened to me on one of them and it was not a problem. For the sake of an honest review, I figured I’d mention it though.
Tourmaline: a bright pink jelly with sparkling holographic flakes.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. This photographed more red for me, so please refer to my swatch video for a better representation. I’d describe that base color as a bright pink/red. I know that’s probably not helpful but there’s a strong red undertone to this one. Again, lovely rich formula that applies ultra smooth and glossy. These all dry down semi-flat though so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to really make that holo pop.
Citrine: a golden yellow jelly with sparkling holographic flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Lovely opaque jelly feel on application, and easy formula to build up.
Amethyst: a deep purple jelly with sparkling holographic flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Even though the others are easy opaque jellies, I felt like this one had an even richer formula overall (you’ll see it in the video). I’m not even a big purple fan, but this is stunning. I adore this entire collection so very much, but this one just sang to me. This will make such a perfect fall color. Again, no texture after topcoat.
Crushed Ice: a silver scattered holographic polish with sparkling holographic flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. I want to refer to the video again on this one, I went in light on my first coat and I could see how this might also double as a very dense topper. On the second coat I had lovely opacity and SO MUCH holo! This is ridiculously rainbow-y in person and so very gorgeous in the sun. My camera seemed to enjoy focusing on the sparkles too 😉
The facets are currently in Cirque’s shop now, so be sure to check them out! I can’t recommend seeing the swatch video enough, these are really something! Right now you can score a free topcoat with orders of $50 or more! Each of the Facets is $12.50.
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
