Hello lovely readers! Today I have loads of new polishes to share. Those of you subscribed to my YouTube channel will know that I’m testing out adding polish names to each of my videos so I’ve been playing around with it all weekend and its been quite the learning process. I’ll admit, its slowed me down a bit but I really want to nail down how I present polishes in video format so please bear with me! I have lots of new things to show you guys (seriously, my computer desk of ‘to edit’ polishes has about 50 bottles sitting here). So, let’s get to Zoya’s fall 2019 collection, the Sensual collection!
Ashton– a black tourmaline with a scattered silver effect.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This has a gorgeous silver foiled effect against a rich black base giving a reflective sparkle. No texture after topcoat.
Briar– a red toned terracotta cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is rich a creamy and has a strong self leveling effect.
Elliot– a blackened peacock blue cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is super smooth and rich and self levels perfectly. I can see this being perfect as an undie for unicorn pee or other indie shimmer toppers. Definitely my top pick in this set.
Etta– a vampy cabernet with a hint of violet micro pearl, to add depth.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and applies easily on the nail. Lot’s of glow and depth here.
Foster– a decadent hot chocolate cream with pink undertones.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and easy to apply like the other creams. Reminds me of hot chocolate!
Joss– a soft colonial rose cream. A neutral with a kiss of pink.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very dense on application and a touch on the heavy side. If you’ve got wide nails like me, I’d recommend upgrading to the z-brush for easier application.
Kinsley– a blush toned caramel cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels like Joss, but just at touch less heavy. Again, I’d recommend upgrading this one to the z brush if you’ve got wide nails.
Margaret– a well-balanced vivid auburn red cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is an interesting red, it’s bright but has a creamy cardinal undertone that really feels like fall. I’d say my swatches are leaning a touch hot that what I see in person so please refer to my swatch video for a better representation.
Michaela– a dusty purple taupe cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Rich, easy formula and lots of self leveling properties.
Rashida– a dazzling ruby red with a shimmer of red micro pearl.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. For this one, I’d recommend between 2-3 coats for opacity. For swatches I wore two coats, but when I get around to wearing this one I’d probably take it to three coats to add that extra thickness that I like. This has lots of glow!
Ripley– a rich boysenberry cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Once again, a super flattering easy peasy buttery formula that self levels wonderfully.
Vesper– a deep, antique grey-violet cream.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula felt a touch heavier than the other creams in the collection though not nearly as heavy as the two neutrals. Strong self leveling and very opaque formula here as well.
The Sensual collection is currently available now through Zoya’s site as well as select Ulta stores. Zoya is currently running an awesome promo where you can snag removal +, base coat, topcoat, and various other customizable options with colors you choose. It’s a fantastic deal so I highly recommend checking it out if you’re eyeballing some new fall colors! Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
