It’s Monday, and here is a new post for you all (odd, right?). Normally I’m blogging and recording videos like crazy on weekends only as I’m crazy busy with grad school and teaching during the weekdays. Thankfully I have a moment of reprieve this week, which totally works out as I have SO many pretties to share for Fall/Halloween! Today I’m showing you guys Scofflaw’s Halloween mini set that includes four crelly polishes with super cute names! Let’s get to the swatches!
Coffin Candy — a warm grey jelly base, with matte candy-hued glitters in various sizes, and finished off with a delicate bubblegum-pink shimmer.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is on the medium side and really builds up quickly. The base color is an interesting greyed color that leans decently warm, though I feel like it have a very, very subtle lavender undertone. The glitters applied evenly on the nail. Those without a quick dry glossy topcoat (that tends to be on the medium side for consistency) might need two thin coats of topcoat to smooth everything out.
Ghost Fart — a ghostly pale white-grey jelly base, with silver flecks, sparks, and scattered holo.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very creamy and applies super buttery on the nail. I feel like this was inspired by the things I love: toilet humor, white crelly with sparkles, and ghost prints (see the butt bottle shot in the video). This one dries down matte, so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to really make those sparkles pop.
Love Letter to Wednesday Addams — A dark charcoal base with black holo glitters, scattered holo, and packed with purple sparkles, shimmer highlights, and purple-blue iridescent microglitters.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is what I would consider a full coverage microglitter as it builds very quickly on the nail and has a heavier formula. I’d suggest going in with two thin coats and you’ll have easy coverage. This also dries down very matte so I’d recommend a good topcoat to smooth everything out and really exploit those glitters.
It Came From Outer Space — a Martian green crelly, full of pale green & blue matte glitters, and finished off with a soft blue shimmer.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very similar to Coffin Candy Mix and builds upo easily. This feels so much alien to me, it’s fun! No issues with the glitters or coverage though I would recommend a glossy topcoat to smooth everything out.
These are releasing October 18th! Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
