Hello lovely readers! I don’t know why, but it feels like it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a post and that’s… odd. I am excited to arrive with one EPIC collection that I am STOKED for! Glam Polish is doing Star Wars you guys and as a rabid fan myself, I am loving the colors that have been mixed for each of the inspirations. I’m so READY for the new movie in December, it’s become a tradition for my husband and I to see it asap and binge theory videos and threads for the universe. Ahh. I digress, I’ll spare you all my nerdiness! This collection features ten beautiful shades of crellies, shimmers, and sparkles and I have five of them to show you all! Let’s get to the pretties!
Galaxy of Heroes– a dark blue with strong sapphire shimmer and ultra holo glitter.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This one positively GLOWS. Formula is medium and easily builds up to opacity and pops like crazy on that second coat. This is such a lush color and really sparkles like crazy. The holo glitters are very scattered on the nail and give a soft twinkle on the final look. No texture or anything to report here.
Rebel Alliance– a bright red with strong aurora shimmer and ultra holo glitter.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This applies very creamy and smooth on application and self levels perfectly. I’d like to note that the color here is appearing very neon, I’d describe it as a true warm, bright red though not the searing shade you see in my swatches. Those that are long time readers know that since I upgraded to a DSLR, I refuse to color edit as my videos will tell the full story. I have lots of reasons why I keep editing to a minimum so I’ll spare you all of a long winded speech. The shimmer here is very strong and you’ll see it as a golden glow. Again, the holo glitters give a very scattered, soft twinkle in the final look. No texture or anything to report here either.
Smuggler’s Run– a light tan crelly with strong aurora shimmer and ultra holo glitter.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very crelly like and such a delicate feel overall. I could have taken it to three coats to fully cover my smile line, but this is such a soft shade that I felt like it just looked right at two. The shimmer appears as a strong ballet slipper pink and the glitters are just a touch more dense than the previous two in the sparkle factor. No texture either.
A New Hope– a teal crelly with strong aurora shimmer and ultra holo glitter.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is very crelly like and smooth on application. That base color is crazy flattering and so perfect. The shimmer appears as a strong fuschia pink and the holo glitters also give a scattered sparkle. Depending on your nail width/length you can definitely get away with two coats. This one does dry down a touch matte so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to make it pop.
Knights of the Old Republic– a gray-purple crelly with strong aurora shimmer and ultra holo glitter.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is very smooth and crelly like on application and easily builds up. I thought it looked fine at two coats, but I went for that third for that ‘plump factor’. This is so crazy beautiful (and matches the inspiration perfectly, in my opinion). The base is a neutral, greyed purple and the shimmer is crazy strong appearing as a coppery, purply red (does that even make sense? haha). The holo glitters are a touch more scattered on this one. I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to really make this one pop as well.
