Happy weekend lovely readers! It’s that time of year again: the holiday collections, sale releases, and so many pretties are approaching! November is always the beginning of the epic pretties/hectic time for blogging and I have quite the line up for you all over the next few weeks. I always consider the beginning of November to be ‘holiday time’ and my swatch basket definitely reflects that haha! I’m kicking off (what I dub) the most epic time of year with Emily de Molly’s new releases! These are going to be available this coming week, and holy hell she’s got some amazing shades for us. Let’s get to the pretties!
Dark Topic- a dark teal green base with silver holographic micro glitters and green to purple shifting iridescent flakes. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels like a very opaque jelly on application and is super smooth on the brush strokes. This will give you a pond effect with the flakes, but still offer crazy coverage. No texture after topcoat.
Diamond Eyes- a silver holographic micro flakes in a clear base with a violet overlay. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels very crelly like and builds up very fast to opacity. There’s a gorgeous purple glow, with loads of flakes. This feels like a flakie filled pearly. It does dry down matte, so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat.
Euro Trip- a dark pink base filled with iridescent shifting flakes. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, and self levels easily. This is more of a bright magenta in person so please note my swatches are leaning with a red tint. No texture after topcoat.
Expert Opinion- a dark blurple base with silver holographic micro flakes and a silvery purple magnetic effect. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats magnetized with topcoat. Formula is buttery smooth and the magnetic pigments has loads of movement. There’s a scattered sparkle from the glitters and no texture after topcoat.
Light The Way- a pale purple / grey base with a fine particle copper / gold / green aurora shimmer. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is insane you guys. Now, this one has a lighter formula than normal for the brand, but I think between 2-3 coats and you’ll be good. There’s versatility here if you wanted to wear an undie with it, but personally I’d wear it on its own. SO MUCH SHIFT. The base color is what I’d consider a very dusky lilac and really pops against all that shimmer.
Reruns- a pale dusty purple base filled with iridescent shifting flakes. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels very crelly like. I stopped at two coats and I could see just a touch of VNL, but I felt like this is more of a soft opalescent shade so I thought it looked perfect. No texture after topcoat.
Past Worth Saving- a silver holographic micro glitters in a grey base with a fine particle copper / gold / green shifting aurora shimmer. $12 USD / $14 AUD. THIS IS A MICRO GLITTER POLISH AND MAY REQUIRE TWO COATS OF TOPCOAT FOR A SMOOTH FINISH.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very dense and rich on application and builds up crazy fast. There’s so much sparkle on this one and the shimmer is very strong in person. You’ll easily see the shifts from copper to gold to green. I went in normal with topcoat and I had no issues with texture.
Twenty Questions- a neon sky blue base with a fine particle copper / gold / green aurora shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is such a flattering, bright blue. The shimmer is so very strong here too, and there’s a scattered sparkle across the nail. No texture after topcoat.
The new releases launch November 5th at 10am AEDT, and November 4th at 6pm EST. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these beauties in action, they are so amazing!
