Happy Sunday readers! Today I have two posts for you all, and the first up is from our lovely Alchemy Lacquers! She’s got a Valentines duo and a new collection! Let’s take a peek at them!
Agents of Chaos Collection
Pandemonium – a dusky purple (cold state) to seafoam green (warm state) crème thermal that contains a scattered holographic micro glitter with a contrasting green/purple/magenta finish. $10.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth and dries down matte. The thermal transition is very sensitive and I got effortless color changing between warm and cold.
Mayhem – a grape jelly that contains turquoise/blue/purple/pink shifting flakes (and corresponding shimmer), multi sized silver holographic glitter, and silver holographic flakes. $10.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is easy to apply and true to jelly formula will get a deeper base color depending on your coats. I had excellent flakie payoff on application and no texture after topcoat.
Maelstrom – a dark turquoise jelly that contains green/pink shifting flakes. $10.50
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is very similar to Mayhem, so I went in for a thin third coat to see how different it will be. Honestly I think two coats looked fantastic too. This also dries down flat, so I ‘d recommend a glossy topcoat to really make it pop.
Chaos – a denim blue (cold state) to beige (warm state) crème thermal with red/orange/gold/green shimmer and a scattered linear holographic finish. $10.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth and very similar to application feel to the other thermal in this set. This one also dries down matte, so again I’d recommend a glossy topcoat to really exploit that shimmer.
Bedlam – an aubergine jelly nail lacquer that contains a violet/gold shifting shimmer and a scattered holographic finish. $9.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is VERY dense and opaque on application and very smooth on brush strokes. My swatches do not do this one justice as you will see a vampy burgundy/purple base color and lots of violet shimmer gently glowing. No texture after topcoat.
Valentine’s Day Colors
Bleeding Heart – a pink crelly that contains red micro flakes and a touch of purple/magenta/orange/gold shifting flakes. $9.00
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is very crelly like and plumped out for me at three coats. If you’re rocking shorties, you might be able to get away with two coats. This one reminds me of a textured mani with flocking powder, but there is NO texture to it. Really lovely and has a 3D appearance with the flakes.
Cardinal Flower – a red flake jelly that contains red, purple, silver holographic, gold holographic micro glitter. $8.50
Swatches show three thin coats with topcoat. I really felt like I could have stopped at two coats, but I went for that third to be extra. This is so lush and pretty and sparkly. I thought it flattered my skin tone very well and I had no texture after topcoat.
All of the new releases will go live February 15th at 5pm EST! Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these pretties in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
