*PRES SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review*
Hello again lovely readers! I have another new release to show you all! Glisten and Glow is celebrating their 10 year anniversary (Be sure to wish Jill a happy anniversary!) with a commemorative polish and some new releases! Let’s dive right in!
It’s Spring, Do Your Thing collection
$8.50 each, or $32 for the set
Roller Skating & River Rafting: a sunshine yellow creme
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth, creamy, and has strong self leveling properties. Looking back, I think I should have stopped at two normal coats. The final look is plump and perfect and so bright. I want to note, that the creams in this set are not neon, though they are still very bright and in your face.
Hiking & Hopscotch: a medium bubblegum pink creme
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and creamy here as well, and plumped out perfectly on the second coat.
Picnics & Playgrounds: a bright grass green creme
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula again, is wonderful and lush. No undies needed here!
Bike Riding & Bird Watching: a bright peach creme
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula was identical to the others and easy to apply and so smooth. I was worried this one would wash out on me, but as you can see it flattered so well.
I wanted to see how these would perform in a watermarble, and I can happily report that they marble perfectly. They were not overly drying so I could make my design in the water easily and they made my (rusty) technique very easy to do.
And finally, these babies stamp too! They showed up very well over light and dark, and they also performed excellent with a clear jelly stamper.
Mystery Polishes $9 each
March 2020: a very light gray crelly loaded with various shapes and sizes of glitters in neon orange, dark orange, lime green, lavender and emerald green
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is dense and heavy with glitter, but spread on the nail easily. This dries down matte and with a bit of texture so I’d recommend a somewhat heavy layer of topcoat, or two normal layers of topcoat.
April 2020: a concrete grey crelly loaded with various shapes and sizes of glitters in neon blue, bright yellow, pale yellow, pale blue, white, and purple glitters
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is similar to March, and also dries down pretty matte and textured. In this post I am using Glisten & Glow’s glossy topcoat and I went in just at touch heavier than normal and I had no texture afterwards.
10 Year Anniversary Commemorative Polish: a lavender crelly with added various shapes and sizes of neon pink, neon yellow and white glitters $9.75
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on application and plumps out perfectly like a cream on the second coat. I went in normally with the topcoat and I had no issues with texture.
These will go live on March 27th at 7pm EDT. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see a quickie tutorial of the stamping and marbeling on the creams, and the others in action!
Thanks so much for reading!
