*PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review*
Hello lovely readers! As promised I have another larger post for you all, and then it’ll be the big momma tomorrow 😉 Today I’m sharing my swatches of Emily de Molly’s April releases. This month I think we have a round of really unique colors and finishes with some unexpected combos. She’s done it again, you guys. Let’s take a peek!
All I See- A steel blue base with a copper overlay. $9 USD / $11 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is rich and creamy on application and self levels perfectly.
Enjoy The Fall- A khaki green base with pink / gold / green shifting iridescent flakes as well as gold holographic micro glitters. $11 USD / $13 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but dense and easy to build up. This is just a touch darker in person, though the flakes are very prominent still. No texture after topcoat.
Here We Go Again- A bright ultramarine blue base filled with pink / gold / green shifting aurora shimmer and silver holographic flakes. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels crelly like, and plumped up nicely for me and the second coat. There’s a ton of glow, and the base color is very vibrant. Please note, my swatches lean just a touch brighter than indoor lighting.
Ombres And Glitter- A bright pink ( warm ) to dark purple ( cold ) thermal with orange / green shifting iridescent glitters. $11 USD / $13 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula has a heavy jelly feel on application, and has quite a bit of viscosity to it. I had no issues with the glitters, but I’d suggest taking your brush strokes slow for full coverage. This is a bit thirsty for topcoat, so I’d suggest a really glossy one or two coats of a regular topcoat.
Overrun- A dark purple base with blue / purple / red shifting foil type shimmer. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and dense on application and builds up quickly. This has a very obvious color roll in person- at angles that red shift really glows.
Remote Control- A murky green base with blue / purple / pink shifting foil type shimmer. $10 USD / $12 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is somewhat jelly like and has a bit of squish to it. This has a strong color roll with the shimmer. If you prefer thin coats, I could see possibly needing three coats. I tend to polish heavy handed, so I found two coats perfect.
The Journey- A beautiful bright green base filled with silver holographic micro glitters and copper / gold / green shifting aurora shimmer. $12 USD / $14 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and rich and builds very quickly to opacity. The glitters used in this are awesome in that they give no texture or thirsty feel so I think any topcoat will do.
Waiting To Happen- A light dusty pink base ( slight neutral brown undertones ) with neon pink and gold micro glitters. $9 USD / $11 AUD
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is ultra smooth and creamy and self levels perfectly. I do agree that the base color has a strong neutral undertone, almost flirting with a pink-y taupe shade. I had no issues from the glitters, and excellent payoff on my coats. No texture after topcoat.
