PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello again lovely readers! Today I have a few polishes from Cuticula to show you all! I have her new Red, White, and Blue Trio which includes two polishes and a nifty ring from The Crafty Taco. You can get them individually, just the two polishes, or as a trio for special pricing. I also have a returning shade that was previously a SPrinkle of the month from October that is returning. I’m glad it is, because it’s a good one! Let’s dive right in!
Red White and Blue Trio
Full set (2 polishes and the ring): $22
Duo (without the ring): $16
Spangled: a white crelly with blue, red, and silver metallic flakes. $9
Swatches show three thin coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like and has a touch of squish factor to it. You can achieve opacity with two normal coats, but I’d suggest thin coats to really let those flakes build up. It dries down flat, so I’d recommend a good glossy topcoat to get those flakes to pop. In this post I’m using Cuticula’s Limitless topcoat.
Firecracker Crush: a festive mix of red, blue, and silver holographic flakes in a clear base. $9
So I went a little ham on this. On my middle nail I’m wearing this topper at one coat over a white undie and on my ring finger I sponged on the flakes for full opacity. It’ll depend on how you want to wear it. Over an undie, you’ll need just a bit of careful placement, otherwise you’ll get lovely flakie payoff overall. The flakes are larger, so they give an awesome holo effect. Wearing it as a topper gives no texture, however wearing it sponged makes it a bit thirsty.
My index and pinky nails are stamped using Cuticula’s Cherry Slush and Elaine (shown below).
Jubilant Sparkle: an adjustable ring by The Crafty Taco. Each ring is made with Cherry Slush, Spangled, and Elaine. They’re adjustable, and no two are alike. The ring is made of 12mm hand painted glass in an adjustable silvertone brass-based setting. It’s also lead and nickel free. There is a limited amount of rings for this release, but they are hoping for a second release later on. $7.50
Here is the adorable ring that goes with the set. It’s adjustable which is nice as I have longer and thicker hands.
Elaine: A one coat sapphire blue with sparkling flakes and silver holographic pigment throughout $11.50
Swatches show one coat with Limitless topcoat. So Elaine is not part of the trio, however it goes along really well with the theme. This polish is a blue lovers delight (hello, nice to meet you). It’s rich and dense on application and is very opaque. There’s a ton of depth with the holo pigment. Seriously, if you’re a blue lover like myself this is perfect.
Finally, I wanted to see how she stamped since she’s a SPrinkle. She performed perfectly with a clear jelly stamper. It shows up very well over lighter colors and over black it’s a little more subtle with mostly the holo pigment showing up.
These will all be available June 11th at 8am PST. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action, including stamping and sponging tutorials!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
