PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review

Happy weekend, lovely readers! Today I’m showing you all Vapid’s core color re-releases! We have several linear holos to see, along with a white and black cream. These were originally released back in 2015 and are being added back to the shop. I do love classic finishes! After all, linear holographic polishes were what drew me into the indie polish world years ago. Let’s get started!

Cryogenic Refrigerant: a strong silver linear holo

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is somewhat metallic like given how much holo pigment is in there. I think most will be satisfied at two coats, though if you polish thinly or have longer nails you might need a third thin coat.

Original Sin: a raspberry pink linear holo

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and creamy on application. The base color is a vibrant pink with a strong raspberry undertone.

Bombshell: a pink leaning red cream based linear holo

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Bombshell applies super dense and creamy on the brush strokes so I think somewhat thinner coats would plump it out perfectly.

Mistrust: a slightly pink toned grape purple linear holo

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and creamy and applied very similarly to Original Sin.

Polarize: a deep navy blue linear holo

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is dense and opaque on application and really flirts with being a one coater. Again, I’d suggest going thin on your coats to plump everything out.

Optimist: a pure white cream

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is a stark, true, bright white base. It self levels very well and builds up perfectly at two coats.

Pessimist: a pure black cream

Swatches show one coat with topcoat. Formula is smooth and dense. I found that one coat with topcoat was perfect.

And finally, I tested out Optimist and Pessimist for stamping and they performed very well with clear jelly stampers. In these swatches I’m using Moyra Florality 2, and Moyra Wedding plates.

These release (today) June 27th at 2pm CST, in super limited quantities as they have been around since 2015 but they will be restocked. This is a ready to ship release so there will also be body butters, nail sauces, and lots of soaps!

Thanks so much for reading!
