PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello again lovely readers! I’m sneaking in with another post today! We have a new collection from Alchemy Lacquers that features six polishes with various shimmer and flakie finishes. Let’s take a peek!
Thuban– a green-blue jelly nail lacquer with pink/gold/green shifting flakes. $11.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very crelly like and has a bit of a squish factor. This dries down flat, so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat.
Antares– a raspberry jelly nail lacquer with pink/red/orange/gold/green shifting flakes, red/green shifting shimmer and gold holographic micro glitter. $11.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is similar to Thuban in terms of crelly but jelly leaning formula. This is lovely warm type of red that I think popped against me very well. Again, this dries down flat so I’d recommend a glossy topcoat.
Polaris– a chartreuse (green leaning neon yellow) jelly nail lacquer with red/green shifting shimmer, red/green shifting flakes and gold holographic micro glitter. $11.50
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is squish smooth and jelly like. You can see just at touch of my smile line in my swatches, so please note a color correcting base coat might be needed if you have a prominent free edge like myself. The base color is definitely chartreuse, it’s got a bright lime/yellow tone overall that really helps that shimmer pop.
Eltanin- a purple (cold) to pink (warm) thermal with orange/pink/green/ shifting flakes, red/orange/gold/green shimmer and purple micro flakes. $11.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with a bit of squish to it. This dries down matte (characteristic of thermals) so I’d suggest a glossy topcoat here, too. The temperature reactivity is very strong and easily transitioned for me.
Regulus– a light grey crelly nail lacquer with various sized neon glitters and silver shimmer. $10.50
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on application and plumps out nicely. I have my bottle a good shake before applying and I got a lovely scattering of the neon glitters. Regulus dries down a bit thirsty, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat.
Albiero- a bright medium blue jelly nail lacquer with gold/lime/green shifting flakes and gold/lime/green/aqua shimmer. $11.50
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. At risk for repeating myself, Albiero applies very similar to the other flakies in the collection. This blue is very flattering and popped like crazy against me.
The Star Shards are currently available through Alchemy’s Etsy shop! Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
