PRESS SAMPLE: These were sent to me for an honest review
Hello lovely readers! Today I have Pahlish’s newest collection to share. This month’s set features six new colors of unreleased shades from 2020. I’m so glad these are getting released, as there are some gorgeous colors! Let’s take a peek!
Sail – soft periwinkle with green to purple shifting glow
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with a bit of squish to the application. This builds up quickly, however if you polish on the light side you might need a third coat. There’s a strong purple shift at extreme angles in shaded lighting. For the most part, all polishes in this set dry down flat so I’d suggest a glossy topcoat.
Electro – denim blue with a mix of iridescent and gold flakes
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with a creamy feel to the brush strokes. I think a lot of folks are going to be fine at two coats, however I wanted to be extra with the overall confetti feel to this one so I went for a third thin coat to top off. So many flakies to see here!
Saltkin – neon turquoise with a metallic turquoise glow
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is very similar to Sail, so I wanted to see what one of the shimmers would look like at three coats. I think any of the shimmers will be perfect between 2-3 coats depending on your style and free edge amount.
Votive – neon jade cream with a mix of iridescent red and orange flakes and shimmer
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with lots of squish during application. I’d suggest going in light on your brush strokes and doing thinner coats to prevent balding from the flakes and allow that squishy factor to build up to opacity. I love how the flakes are so warm in their color roll against that yummy base.
Teddy – soft milk chocolate cream with crushed gold flakes
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula feels crelly like with a strong cream feel. I went in thin on my coats to really maximize the flakie payoff. I felt like the base color leaned almost as a nude on me, so I think if you’re medium to deep toned this will pull quite neutral.
Sigh – pale neon rose with bright green to purple shifting glow
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. The formula is again similar to the other shimmers, so 2-3 coats for opacity. This shimmer is crazy strong in this one too with a purple shift at extreme angles/shaded lighting.
