PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello again lovely readers! Continuing on today’s post-a-thon we have a new duo from Cuticula! If you’re like me, and thoroughly enjoying those milky style polishes but also love bling- you’re going to love these. Let’s take a peek!
Spun Sugar Sorbet– a sheer cotton candy pink base and is a sister to the coconut milk sorbet. Spun Sugar Sorbet is scented like Cotton Candy. I’d like swatch of it alone in 2 coats and paired with ‘Pixie Crush’.
Swatches show two coats with Limitless topcoat. Formula is ultra smooth and jelly like on the nail and glides on the brush strokes. This is intended to be a sheer milky type of polish, so two coats is really all you need. This is scented in cotton candy, and when it dries down on your nails it definitely smells like that! It’s legit cotton candy haha. This does dry down semi gloss, so I think any topcoat will be perfect.
Pixie Crush– a sister to Candy Crush and Firecracker Crush. This topper is a mix of big and small holographic flakes in gold, blue, light pink, fuscia, and violet.
Swatches show one coat over Spun Sugar Sorbet and Limitless topcoat. This is what I’d consider a dense topper, and you’ll get loads of flakes on the nail. I like to bead up toppers like this at my cuticle and then gently spread it out for maximum flakie effect. I positively LOVE these types of flakes that Cuticula uses. They’re big, obvious, and offer up a strong holo effect. I didn’t have any problems with poking, so go in with a somewhat thicker topcoat (like Limitless, using the bead method) and I didn’t have any texture.
Here I made a jelly sandwich with two coats of Spun Sugar Sorbet, one coat of Pixie Crush, and one very thin layer or Spun Sugar Sorbet. This will mute the holo effect, but give you a crelly effect where you can see the flakes underneath. Either way looks so cute!
These are currently released in her shop! Be sure to check out my swatch video to see them in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
