Hello lovely readers! I have another Halloween collection to show you all! This year’s fall colors have been epic! Lemming’s newest set is no exception, there are some serious stunners here and multichrome goodness, yum. Cassie has put in a lot of thought into this year’s collection so I’ve italicised her inspirations on each shade. Let’s take a peek!
Hexentanz– an ultraviolet to purple to red multichrome with holographic micro flakes and sparks. Meaning “witches dance” in German, Hexentanz is inspired by The Witch Dance from the 2016 celebration of Walpurgis in Harz Germany. $13
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but very rich and dense on application and smooth. There’s a strong purple glow with an easy shift over to red at angles. I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat for all polishes in this collection to make them pop.
Specter’s Bargain– an orange holographic with green to blue to red-purple multichrome shimmer. Inspired by lyrics from the song A Charming Spell by Splashdown. $12
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is somewhat crelly like, but smooth and again very easy to build up.
Her Dark Majesty– a pink to purple to green to gold multichrome with holographic micro flakes and sparks. Inspired by the name of reverence for Michelle Pfeiffer’s witch character, Lamia, in the movie Stardust. $13
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very similar to Hexantanz, is very shifty with a dominant purple to green shift. You can tell there’s a blue base at the first coat, but the multichrome pigments takes over everything in the best way. Easily my favorite of the set.
Bone Fairy– a gray crelly with pink to orange to gold to green multichrome shimmer with holographic micro flakes and sparks. Inspired by the admittedly strange but unquestioned tradition of putting baby teeth under pillows for the Tooth Fairy. Modern folk stories say we make offerings of our baby teeth and the bones of the dead, lest the bone fairies take larger bones like spines and skulls from the living. $13
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, and a touch lighter compared to the others but still gave me full coverage at the second coat.
Lycanthropy– a medium turquoise with orange to gold to green shimmer and flakes. Inspired by “Werewolf” by artist GDBee. $13
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like with a strong squish factor. Again, this one also built up very quickly.
Hobgoblin– a brown jelly with a multichrome shifting cyan to blue to purple to red and holographic micro flakes and sparks. Inspired by Cassie’s youngest cat, Sabrina, who she calls “goblin” when she gets the zoomies. In folklore hobgoblins tend to be more mild than goblins and are known for being both helpful and mischievous–just like Sabrina. $13
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is similar to the other multichromes in this set. It’s dense and smooth on the brush strokes.
Season of the Witch– a rich burnt orange holographic with orange shimmer. Inspired by the season of all things Fall and Halloween that nourishes the witch in all of us. $12
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and almost creamy, but has a metallic feel to the brush strokes similar to a classic linear holo.
Nightmare’s Gloom– a red-violet to orange to copper multichrome with flakes shifting gold to green to blue to purple. Inspired by the depressing and sometimes anxious inner darkness that can accompany nightmares. $13
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, with a slightly more jelly lean. The formula has a touch of squish factor and is positively loaded with the colorful flakes. I had no problems getting loads of flakes on each coat.
The Halloween collection releases on September 18th at 7PM CT. You can grab the full collection for $90 and includes free priority shipping! Don’t forget to watch my swatch video to see these in action!
