Press Sample: these were sent to me for an honest review

Hello again lovely readers! I’m telling you guys, I have so many posts to spam you guys with this week! It’s busy busy fall time! Potion Polish is releasing her fall collection soon and we have six new polishes to check out in varying finishes. Let’s take a peek!

Leaf Peeping – Rich berry red bursting with holographic and gold flakes.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is rich and dense on application and builds up very quickly to opacity. This is delightfully rich, I can’t see many needing to go to a third coat. It does dry down very flat, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat.

I ❤️ Fall Most Of All – Autumnal orange chunky holo.   * Polish is very pigmented so be sure to use a coat or two of base coat to prevent staining! *

Swatches show two thin coats with topcoat. Formula is rich, pigmented, dense, heavy and super buttery on the brush strokes. I’d classify this (and the next) as one coaters. This is more flakie holo, as opposed to straight sparkly holo. Both oranges in this collection dry down very flat, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat. Normally when I wear potential stainers, they’ll bleed right through my latex barrier during swatching, but, full disclosure I did not have that problem. However, both oranges are very pigmented so I’d agree with the blogger info above and suggest a good base protector.

Cinnamon Cider – Opulent golden orange chunky holo with gold flake accents.  * Polish is very pigmented so be sure to use a coat or two of base coat to prevent staining! *

Swatches show two thin coats with topcoat. Formula is identical to the above, so please see my notes there.

Foggy November Morn – Dusty pale lavender packed with orange/red/gold/green shifting chrome flakes and a festive fall mix of holo glitters.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, and a bit light on the formula. For opacity, I’d suggest between 2-3 coats. I went in normal and I thought two fit it well.

Crisp Mornings – Slate blue with orange/red/gold/green shifting chrome flakes and orange holo glitters.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and crelly like, but a touch more dense than Foggy. This one dries down very flat and a touch thirsty, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat.

Salem – Witchy black jelly sparkling with orange and gold holo glitter in various sizes.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but dense and easy to build up. I like that it builds up to a striking black, but still allows the orange and gold glitters to sparkle. This has a finer type of sparkle, which I dig, as it gives a lovely twinkle effect. Again, I’d suggest a glossy topcoat.

The Autumn Collection is releasing on September 26 at 1pm EDT. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!

Thanks so much for reading! ❤
