PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for review

Hello again lovely readers! I’m wrapping up today’s second post with NOL’s new Potion Ingredients collection, creme of the month, and anniversary LE! Let’s dive right in!

-Potion Ingredients Collection- $52 for full set

Wings of a Bat ($10) – a black packed with charcoal sparkle flakes.

Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, and a touch light on application. The flakes are really what make this one opaque, and it almost gives a textured look. It’s not textured, but it appears almost velvety. This, and all of the others in the set dry down pretty flat so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat.

Bone of a Goblin ($9) – an off-white with lots of taupe micro flakies.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth and self levels nicely. The flakes are more subtle in the overall appearance, but give an almost textured like appearance in the finished look. I think I’m sensing a theme here haha.

Flesh of a Zombie ($11) – a murky green filled with green/silver & burgundy/red/bronze/gold multichrome flakes.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and dense on application and builds up very quickly.

Heart of a Witch ($11) –  a dark purple filled with purple/blue/green multichrome flakes & purple/blue iridescent micro glitters.

Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but smooth on application. Depending on whether you wear it at 2-3 coats, it’ll darken out the purple base. I think the flakes are coming up shy on my swatches, so please note in person they give a super pretty blue iridescent effect.

Juice of a Jack-o-Lantern ($12) – a pumpkin orange loaded with glowing red/gold/green aurora shimmer.

Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, but smooth and somewhat squishy on the brush strokes. I love the shimmer in this, it gives off such a glowey effect with a lovely gold at angles. I think this can be worn at two coats, but I felt like that third coat really plumped it out well.

Blood of a Wendigo ($11) –  a dark red filled with red/copper/gold multichrome flakes & orange/gold iridescent micro glitters.

Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is very similar to Heart of a Witch.

-Oct Creme of the Month-

Dark Hearted –  a blackened burgundy creme. $8

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This has a super juicy formula, but still behaves like a dense cream. It’s very smooth on the brush strokes and after a glossy topcoat, plumps out very well.

-4 Year Anniversary Polish-

Carpe Noctem –  a dark purple loaded with red/gold/green aurora shimmer and holo dust. This is limited edition and will be kept in stock thru Oct 31st. $12

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with a bit of a squish factor. It builds up quickly to opacity and has loads of a reddish glow with a green shift at extreme angles. Very pretty. I could have taken it to a third coat to darken it out, but I loved how it appeared at the second coat.

These will release Sept 25th at 6:00 PM MDT. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see them in action!

Thanks so much for reading! ❤
