PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello lovely readers! I’m sneaking in with Femme Fatale’s October releases, these are currently on pre-order. This week totally got away from me, but buckle up because these are so pretty! The Valtat Collection is inspired by the art of Tulips in a Vase by Louis Valtat (a French painter and printmaker, 1869-1952). Australia is currently going in to their spring season, so for us in the Northern Hemisphere, this is a fun palette cleanser with awesome formulas and bright colors. Let’s take a peek!
-Valtat Collection- full set: 86.50 AUD (on sale from $93.50 AUD)
Tulipiere $13.00 AUD – A pale blush pink crème with soft golden flakes throughout.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth with perfect self leveling. This does dry down flat, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat.
Liliaceae $14.00 AUD – A sheer, vibrant magenta jelly with red-green shifting iridescent flakies.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but applies very opaque and smooth on the nail. The flakes take on more of a magenta lean with the base color being so pigmented, but at angles there is a green shift. Again, I’d suggest a glossy topcoat.
Rembrandt Tulips $14.50 AUD THERMAL – A clear (warm) to coral orange (cold) thermal with a strong violet glow that leans the warm state to look pearlised. Filled with magenta metallic microglitters.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, and builds easily. The warm state is soft, so when your nails are fully in the warm state you might see a touch of your smile line. The shimmer is very strong, and I had no problems with glitter payoff on my coats. This one also dries down quite flat.
Apeldoorn $13.00 AUD – A strong candy red crème base with a hint of orange tones; filled with soft grey flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on application and self levels well. I think most will be fine at two coats.
Ollioules $14.00 AUD – A sheer coral pink base with strong green-blue-purple shifting duochrome sheen.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but easy to build up. The shimmer is very strong and shifts over to a luminous purple at angles.
Spring-Bloom $12.50 AUD – A gorgeous tangerine crème base with neon pink microglitters within.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy, smooth, and self levels. I think I went in for overkill at the third coat. If you polish normally and not too light, I think you’ll be fine at two coats too. In case this one skews the color on different screens, this is a true bright tangerine orange in person.
Wild Collected $12.50 AUD – A bright teal crème base with neon yellow microglitters within.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula applies like a cream, and is very smooth here too. Again, I’d suggest a glossy topcoat to finish it off.
Crystallum Orbis $12.50 AUD – A bright berry pink crelly with red metallic microglitters in assorted sizes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like, but rich and smooth. After using a glossy topcoat, it has that juicy like appearance.
FOTM OCTOBER (only available to Facebook Fiend members)
Nebula Storm $15.00 AUD – A bright almost neon pink (warm) to cool-toned deep purple (cold) thermal with red to green iridescent microglitters in assorted sizes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, and easy to build up. The cold state is such a flattering, bright purple. The glitters don’t necessarily make this one very thirsty, but it does dry down very flat.
All of these are on pre-order now through October 5th at 9pm AEST. All of these will be available through stockists at a later date (in my experience, Beautometry for those of us in the USA/International from Australia). Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
