PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello lovely readers! I don’t know where time is going, but we’re here in October and I’ve got a desk full of polishes for editing and video making all over again! Whew! It’s also almost time for Hella Handmade Creations to open up for shopping and this month I have seven of the contributions to review. My HHC posts are gradually getting bigger haha. Let’s take a peek!
Blush Lacquers: Mawwage
- Description: a antique aqua base filled with a flurry of holographic, silver and gold flakes
- Inspiration: Princess Bride Series
- Price: $13
- Cap: None
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is somewhat metallic like from all of the holo pigments and there’s lots of sparkle to see here. I love Victoria’s holos, they’re always very opaque with extra goodies. The silver flakes give a subtle reflective sparkle too.
By Dany Vianna: You Will Be Found
- Description: a white crelly base with a mix of different shades of blue micro flakes.
- Inspiration: Mixtape Series
- Price: $11.50
- Cap: 100 bottles
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth and self levels well. Depending on how you apply, it gives perfect coverage between 2-3 coats. The flakes are subtle at a glance, but up close you’ll see the tiny specks of blue.
Cuticula: Trident of Neptune
- Description: a smokey violet base packed with gold and aqua metallic flakes
- Inspiration: Aquaman Series
- Price: $12.50
- Cap: None
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, but applies very creamy and smooth and self levels well. This is a very unique color combo that gives off tons of flakie payoff on your coats. It does dry down flat, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat to finish it off.
Femme Fatale: Foiled Again
- Description: a glitter flakie topper in a clear base. This has a mix of metallic and holographic shards, fine holographic flakes, chameleon shifting flakes flakes, chrome flakes, and UCC flakes
- Inspiration: Foiled Wrappers on Easter Eggs, for the Candy Series
- Price: $14
- Cap: None
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. I decided to wear this alone since I loved last month’s glitter bomb alone SO much. This is super pretty and looks like shredded foil on your nails. You’ll get a lot of goodies on your brush and regardless of wearing it alone or over an undie, I think just the slightest bit of careful placement will be perfect.
Night Owl Lacquer: I Must Dance
- Description: a light olive green filled with bronze/red/gold/green & pink/gold/green crystal chameleon flakes
- Inspiration: Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild series
- Price: $12.80
- Cap: None
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with a bit of squish to the application. There’s loads of those shifting flakes that create a lovely pond effect. Depending on your free edge, I think it’s perfect between 2-3 coats.
Penelope Luz: King Arthur
- Description: a grey base with iridescent flakes in shades of orange, copper and green. A little red and gold glitter
- Inspiration: Camelot Series
- Price: $13
- Cap: 200 Bottles
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like with a bit of squish. I think depending on how you polish, 2-3 is fine. This is another really interesting color combination and there’s so much colorful effect from all of the flakes. I think this would also double as a topper if you went in very sparse at one coat.
Rogue Lacquer: The Gallery
- Description: a blue gray crelly with crushed gold flakes and micro rainbow ucc flakes with micro holo shreds
- Inspiration: London Series
- Price: $12.50
- Cap: None
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on application and self levels well. I think most will be fine at two coats.
