PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for review
Hello again lovely readers! Each year Pahlish releases some epic Halloween collections and over the years I’ve collected several sets. I daresay I think this year’s is one of my favorites, they’re so good! The overall color pallet is against the grain for traditional shades, and I’m here for it. Let’s take a peek!
Ghost House – prismatic silver scattered holographic
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very dense and builds up super fast to opacity. I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat to seal this one up as is dries down flat and a touch thirsty.
Bone Appetit – toasty peach cream with holo flakes and red/copper/green microflakes and shimmer
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like and smooth. The base color leaned almost as a nude on me, and I think it flattered me very well. All of the others shades in the set (excluding Ghost House, see above) dry down flat, so I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat.
Resting Witch Face – soft gunmetal with holo flakes and bright green/silver/pink microflakes and shimmer
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feels almost like a foil when applying. There’s a lovely purple shift at angles and in shaded lighting that is being a touch shy in my swatches.
Booberry Pie – sky blue cream with blue/purple/pink microflakes and shimmer
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is very similar to Bone Appetit. This is such a lovely blue, it has a strong glow factor from all of the flakes. It’s just the slightest bit darker in person, but it is still very vibrant and glowey in person. LOVE it. (I think the third full hand shot is a good representation).
Squad Ghouls – pale aqua with holo flakes and orange/pink/green microflakes and shimmer
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Again, it has a very similar formula to the other crellies in the set (excluding Resting Witch Face and Ghost House). Another very flattering color, and the microflakes give a lovely reddish glow behind the holo flakes.
Little Boo Peep – soft orchid pink with holo flakes and pink/orange/green microflakes and shimmer
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. I’m a robot at this point haha, but this applies and builds up quickly like the other crellies. This is another very flattering shade and very glowey.
The Holoween 2020 set is very limited edition. They will release on limited preorder this Sunday, October 11th at 7pm central through October 12th at 11:59pm central time. They will be available in October’s restocks only and will not be available after. They also will not release for Pahlish’s Black Friday sale either, so if you’re wanting them I highly suggest grabbing them! Each polish will be $13. Don’t forget to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
