PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review

Happy Friday lovely readers! Today I have Cupcake’s fall collection to show you all, inspired in a 70s theme! We’ve got three flakes and three shimmers so let’s check them out!

Boogie Down – Cobalt blue jelly base nail polish filled with bronze/red multichrome flakies and gold/orange/green iridescent flakies and
a subtle touch of scattered holographic pigment

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like with a strong squish factor. There’s a ton of flakie payoff on your coats, and it’s quick to build up.

Can You Dig It? – Carrot orange crème based nail polish packed with pink to green shifting iridescent aurora shimmer

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is almost crelly like with a squish factor. I think this will depend on your application type whether you wear it at 2 or 3 coats. At angles, the shimmer has an easy pink shift.

Flower Power – Berry red jelly based nail polish packed with gold/red/green shifting aurora shimmer

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Again, I think this will depend on your preference if you go to a third coat. I daresay this is one of my top picks in what I have swatched this year. This is very flattering, and is a happy medium between purple and red. The shimmer is very strong.

Granny Square – Medium brown crème based nail polish packed with pink/silver/green shimmer

Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy, but almost crelly like with the squish factor. Again, depending on your application type you may need a third coat. The base color is pretty warm, so it’ll definitely play against your skin tone. I have loads of golden undertones and I think it almost leaned as a nude on me.

Groovy Baby – Pickle green nail polish filled with bronze/pink multichrome shimmer and gold/pink/green iridescent flakies

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like and easy to build up. The flakes almost give off a foiled appearance, but in person you can see all the multicolored effects from them.

Peace & Love – Sage green crème based nail polish filled with gold/pink/green iridescent flakies

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on the brush strokes with a soft self leveling factor. I think I probably would have worn this at three coats to deepen out that lovely almost dusky sage base color, but I thought two coats gave me perfect opacity.

The 70’s Collection launches October 19th at 7pm central time. You can grab them individually for $13 each. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
