PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello again lovely readers! I promised two posts today so we are taking a peek at Night Owl Lacquer’s new collection! We have shimmer, flakes, and glitters along with a new creme of the month and a stand alone polish. Let’s take a peek!
Roasting Marshmallows ($9) – a white crelly with a copper shimmer and various sizes of copper holographic glitter.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like with a squish factor and easy to build up. I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat to finish this off.
Dancing in the Moonlight ($9) – a midnight blue jelly with various sizes of navy holographic glitter.
Swatches show three thin coats with a glitter smoothing topcoat. Formula is jelly like. I’d suggest going in thin on your coats to slowly build it up so you’ll get a gorgeous pond effect with the glitters. It does dry down flat and thirsty so I’d suggest a glitter smoothing topcoat or two coats of a glossy topcoat.
Favorite Flannel ($12) – a dark purple filled with purple/burgundy/red/bronze/gold shifty crystal chameleon flakes and charcoal sparkle micro flakies.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like and easy to build up. It’s opaque at two coats, but a third thin coat really maximizes the flakes and the overall look. I’d suggest a glossy topcoat to make the flakes pop.
Lost in the Corn Maze ($11) – a mustard yellow crelly with a strong red/gold shimmer.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and creamy-crelly like. I think most will be fine at two coats. If you loved last month’s Juice of a Jack-o-Lantern, this is like the fall yellow sibling to it. The shimmer is lovely, and it’s that perfect mustardy muted yellow.
Serenity ($12) – a multichrome that shifts olive green/forest green/teal.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and rich on application. I’d suggest two normal coats and it plumps out very well. This has a lovely straight multichrome shift. In certain bright lights there’s almost a silvery look, and at extreme angles a lovely teal. It’s being subtle in my swatches, but it’s definitely there.
Creme of the Month
Gone Squatchin’ – a warm brown creme. $8
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is strongly self leveling, and super creamy and buttery on application. This doesn’t have that very dense formula a lot of her cremes have, but it’s still very opaque and packs in intensity.
-Of a Feather-
Stand Alone Polish
Of a Feather – a taupe crelly filled with gold/copper/green shifting crystal chameleon flakes, gold/green & aqua/green crystal flakes and copper shimmer flecks. $12
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is smooth and crelly like, with a bit of squish. I think most will be fine at two coats.
All of the new releases will launch October 23rd at 6:00 PM MDT. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
