PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for review

Hello again lovely readers and Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my review of Emily de Molly’s December releases. We have some lovely shades to check out, so let’s dive right in!

Blur The Line– a bright orchid purple base with blue and red iridescent flakes

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like and smooth. This dries down very flat, so much so that I’d almost classify it as a matte polish. I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat to make the flakes pop.

One Look– a dark blue base with blue to purple shifting (subtle) foil type shimmer

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is dense and smooth and so easy to build up. I’d suggest soft brushstrokes to prevent any potential streaking. The purple shift is very subtle in person, but this one still glows like crazy.

Something Special– a very pale pink crelly with silver holographic micro flakes and iridescent flakes

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. This is my second pic (the foil being the first) in the collection. It’s soft and delicate, and has a soft flakie appearance to match. Some may need a third coat, but I thought two was perfect.

Shakedown– A mustard yellow with metallic pewter glitters.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, but very self leveling and creamy. This is what I’d consider a true mustard color, it’ll definitely play up against your skin tone.

Double Cross– A black jelly base with copper / gold / green iridescent flakes

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is jelly like but very easy to build up to opacity. I’d suggest a glossy topcoat here too.

Before I Forget– a light turquoise blue crelly with metallic copper glitters.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is squishy but very creamy and self leveling.

Final Answer– a dark emerald green jelly base with assorted iridescent flakes

Swatches show three coats with topcoat. I went in a touch light on my coats, so I think two normal would suffice. Formula is jelly like and very easy to build up to that lovely mosaic effect.

Fall Back– a murky green jelly with silver metallic flakes.

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, and self levels well. I’d suggest a glossy topcoat to finish off.
