PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review
Hello lovely readers! I have a few posts planned for today. I’m starting off with Night Owl Lacquer’s Winter 2021 collection, inspired by Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. If you watched my swatch video of the Fandom Flakies box for this month, this is the collection I teased! I love that movie so, so much. Let’s take a peek at the collection!
Topcoat used in this post: Night Owl Lacquer’s Patience Not Required.
-Winter 2021 Collection- (full set $63)
Play Jaja Ding Dong! ($12) – a vibrant teal green linear holographic.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula feel jelly like on application and builds up very easily.
Where the Mountains Sing ($10) – an ethereal duochrome that shifts from mint green to lavender.
Swatches show three coats with topcoat. Formula has frosty feel during application. I’d suggest going in soft with your brush strokes and not overworking it to prevent any potential streaking.
Volcano Man ($11) – a light grey with red/gold shimmer, charcoal flakes and holographic micro flakies.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like and smooth on application and builds up easily.
Song-a-Long ($12) – a fuschia jelly filled with silver holographic micro glitter and pink/yellow/green color shifting crystal chameleon flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. I’d classify this as one of those juicy jelly sort of finishes that sparkles like crazy. I didn’t have any problems in terms of texture, but it is a touch thirsty so to retain that juicy finish I’d suggest a glitter smoothing topcoat or two light coats of topcoat.
You’re a Dreamer, My Dreamer ($12) – an aqua/blue/purple multichrome with bright silver flakes.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is dense and easy to build up. It has a bit of a squish factor so 2-3 coats will be perfect.
I’m Checkin’ You Out ($12) – a brown based multichrome that shifts pink/burgundy/copper.
Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is somewhat metallic like with a strong squish factor. I think most will be fine at two coats, though if you apply lightly you will most likely need a third coat.
-Feb Creme of the Month-
Bruised Not Broken – a dark bluish purple creme. $8
Swatches show two light coats with topcoat. Formula is strongly self leveling, smooth and buttery.
These will release January 15th at 6:00 PM MST. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see them in action!
Thanks so much for reading! ❤
