PRESS SAMPLE: these were sent to me for an honest review

Hello again lovely readers! I’m wrapping up posts today with Quixotic’s Overdue Winter collection. We have seven polishes in varying finishes. There’s something for everyone here, so let’s dive right in!

Topcoat used in this post: Quixotic’s ‘Fancy a Quickie?’ Quick dry, glossy topcoat.

Midnight Champagne: a black jelly filled with beautiful gold holo micro glitters

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on application and applies buttery and dense. I’d suggest a good glossy topcoat, as this dries down thirsty.

Confetti Canon: A clear base packed with rose gold micro flakes, silver holo micro glitter and adorned with larger silver holo glitters

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is foil-like and metallic on application and builds up to opacity quickly. This is one you’ll definitely want to see on the swatch video to get the best idea of the metallic and sparkle effect πŸ˜‰

Frostbite: a deep blackened navy crelly base with small white and grey glitters

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula applies like a dense, juicy jelly. I think two coats is perfect, and I’d suggest a glitter smoothing topcoat to finish it off.

Frost Stained Glass: A blackened plum base packed with purple/pink/gold shifting ultrachrome flakes

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is crelly like, and applies like a metallic flakie finish. I’d suggest three thin coats, or two normal coats. It dries down flat, so a glossy topcoat will get those flakes to pop the best in my opinion.

Borealis: a soft teal crelly base with green to blue shifting multichrome pigments and holo micro flakes

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth on application and builds up quickly to opacity.

Winter Daphne: a delicate lavender base with with blue to pink shifting iridescent shimmer and holo micro flakes

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth again, and self levels well. This would be my second pick of the set.

Arctic Glow: A baby blue base set aglow with a brilliant green to blue shifting shimmer

Swatches show two coats with topcoat. Formula is creamy and smooth, similar to Winter Daphne. This is my favorite in the set, it’s so glow-ey and beautiful in person.

These will be $10 individually, you can also grab the full set for $65. They will release January 22nd at 10am Pacific time. Be sure to check out my swatch video to see these in action!
